Hochschule Osnabrück und Hefei University
The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück is placed at one of the biggest German traffic hubs, because the east-west corridor Amsterdam-Warsaw and the north-south corridor Scandinavia-Swiss crosses here. A focus of the University Osnabrück is therefore in transport policies and logistics, which is supported by a group of logistics professionals. This is an important reason for me to accompany those important processes as an associate professor for transport policies and infrastructure at the University Osnabrück since 2011. At the 20th Anniversary of the annual Osnabrück Logistic Day, I talked about “Global Cooperation”.
For me, a good opportunity for exchange of ideas is the work in the academic advisory board of the interregional German-Dutch master’s degree course “International Supply Chain Management”. In international areas, I work as a visiting academic professor at the LoginChina-Project of the Hefei University with lectures about logistics and traffic infrastructure. I received the honor professorship through the head of the colligate council, Professor Cai in December 2013.
I support the idea of mobility in many ways as member in the scientific advisory council of the MARIS-Project of the Bundeswehr University Munich and as patron of the lecture series “Sustainable Mobility worldwide” in German and European Universities since 2013 as well as supporting the “Hamburg Urban Transport Weeks”. Since 2013 I give lectures at the Technical University of Braunschweig to questions of european infrastructure as well.
